Cha-ching!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before signing up, make sure you meet the <strong>basic requirements<\/strong> (1750 hours) completed in your speciality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an experienced Critical Care nurse, here is the advice I would give new nurses when thinking about taking the CCRN\u00ae exam.\u00a0 Once you have a year under your belt, it is a <strong>GREAT<\/strong> time to start thinking about taking your exam.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Quick Reality Check<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s be honest, <strong>the CCRN\u00ae exam is not easy<\/strong>. You can\u2019t just show up and hope for the best. Passing requires intentional, focused studying. The good news? With the right plan, it\u2019s absolutely doable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Study Tips for Taking &amp; Passing the CCRN\u00ae Exam:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Take a Review Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Invest in a quality <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicolekupchikconsulting.com\/booksAndCourses\/online-courses\/9\/ccrn-online-course-book-bundle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CCRN\u00ae review course<\/a><\/strong> and a review book that includes practice questions. This will help you identify what you need to focus on for the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Set a Test Date (and Commit to It!)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose an exam date you can realistically commit to. <strong>Having a deadline<\/strong> keeps you accountable and prevents endless procrastination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Study Consistently for 3 Solid Weeks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Plan to study <strong>daily for at least three weeks<\/strong> before your exam. Consistent shorter study sessions are always better than cramming!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Practice Questions Are Essential<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Do practice questions regularly and, most importantly, <strong>review the rationales<\/strong>, especially for the ones you miss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Simulate the Real Exam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At least once, complete <strong>150 practice questions in one sitting<\/strong>. This prepares you for what exam day will be like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Use Mnemonics to Memorize Key Concepts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some content simply needs to be memorized. Mnemonics can make this easier and fun!
