Celebrating the Heart of Healthcare: Happy Nurses Week 2025!

Each year during the first full week of May, we pause to recognize the amazing group of people who dedicate their lives to serving others – our nurses! Nurses Week (May 6 – May 12) is a time to honor the dedication, compassion, and care that nurses bring to work every single day.

Take a look at just a handful of the amazing nurses in the Nicole Kupchik Consulting community who have passed their certification exams this year:

These snapshots capture the real people making a difference in healthcare! Nurses, thank you for all you do; it does not go unnoticed!

To celebrate this week, we asked some of our incredible nurses to share what they love most about being a nurse in their own words. These reflections are a powerful reminder of the impact nurses have.

Comfort and Compassion:

  • “I love making people’s worst day less scary”
  • “Being able to help people in a very vulnerable time in their life.”
  • “My favorite part of being a nurse is shining a light on the darkest times in someone’s life.”
  • “My favorite part of being a nurse is being able to provide meaningful care to patients and be there for them while they are going through a hard time in life.”
  • “Being able to support my patients through life altering times of sickness, healing and end of life.”
  • “My favorite part of being a nurse, though very difficult, is being a source of comfort and strength to patients as they navigate frightening and challenging moments in their lives.”

Making an Impact as a Nurse

  • “Impacting lives for the better! Be it through emotional support, advocating, or saving lives in critical care.”
  • “Being able to make a difference in people’s lives whether it being their nurse for the day, helping a coworker solve a problem, or bringing comfort to family and friends in their own healthcare journeys.”
  • “The chance that I might be able to change one person’s life for the better.”

Critical Thinking and Nursing Skills

Purpose, Passion, and Professional Pride
