The ABCs of ABGs & Capnography


This fun course will provide an organized approach to arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation. Repetitive practice with blood gas interpretation followed by case studies will build clinical confidence in identifying acid/base imbalances. In addition, continuous waveform Capnography and the use of venous blood gases will be discussed.

  • Clinical case studies with treatment application including Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory failure, kidney injury & electrolyte imbalances
  • The use of continuous waveform Capnography as a clinical monitoring adjunct
